Part names appear as you zoom in. Turn layers on and off, start the water flow, pull the layers apart and select a part to see its materials.
A concealed diverter or mixer in the wall controls the shower and spout. Its body is installed before tiling.
The concealed body sits within the wall with only the trim plate and handle visible after tiling.
The basin connects to hot and cold supplies through angle valves and drains through a bottle trap.
WCs connect to a soil pipe and are filled through a cistern or a concealed flush valve.
A wall-mounted water heater feeds the hot line. Pipes for hot water must be rated for its temperature.
Supply pipes are chased into the wall and pressure-tested before plastering and tiling.
Waste pipes from the basin and floor trap and the soil pipe from the WC slope down towards the stack.
A floor trap with a grating sits at the lowest point of the shower area; the floor slopes gently towards it.
Tiles are fixed with tile adhesive and finished with grout. Anti-skid floor tiles are commonly used in wet areas.
Wet areas receive a waterproof coating or membrane on the floor and the lower part of the walls before tiling.
