Building the 3D scene…

  1. PCC is a lean mix of cement, sand and aggregate laid on compacted soil to give a clean, level base.

  2. The structural slab combines concrete with reinforcement bars that resist bending.

  3. Reinforcement is placed on cover blocks so concrete surrounds it completely.

  4. Coatings or membranes are applied on slabs in wet areas and on roofs.

  5. A cement-sand screed creates a smooth, level surface and slope where needed.

  6. Polymer-modified tile adhesives are applied with a notched trowel for an even bond.

  7. Vitrified, ceramic or stone tiles are chosen for wear, slip resistance and appearance.

  8. The wall core is laid in courses with cement mortar joints.

  9. Plaster made with cement and fine sand smooths the wall and protects the masonry.

  10. Wall putty is applied in thin coats and sanded smooth before painting.

  11. Primer improves adhesion; interior or exterior paint gives colour and protection.
